As a resident and experienced law enforcement professional, I've observed firsthand the critical need for a stronger, more capable Sheriff's Department. My primary motivation is to ensure our department has the staffing, training, and equipment necessary to truly protect our communities. Law enforcement should be a force for good, not a hindrance, committed to transparent fiscal responsibility, effective administration, and the just application of the law without being overbearing. I pledge to exploit grant funding, meet quarterly with communities, and ensure your Sheriff's Office earns and maintains your respect and trust.

My approach stands apart by focusing on long-term career progression and upholding national best practices in law enforcement. Over the past 12 years under the current administration, career advancement opportunities for deputies have become increasingly scarce due to a lack of internal departmental programs. I aim to build an office where deputies can thrive and grow throughout their 20-year careers. I will ensure our agency's capabilities are consistent with national standards and prioritize the well-being of our staff and their families. My decisions will be driven by the needs of Tooele County's communities, demonstrating proactive fiscal responsibility and deep community engagement. This isn't just about maintaining; it's about elevating our Sheriff's Office to a standard of excellence our community deserves.
